The charity organization offers up to 18 scholarships to underserved students across the United States
MIAMI, March 1, 2023 /PRNewswire/ - Louis Hernandez Jr.'s Foundation For A Bright Future ("For A Bright Future", "FABF"), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is pleased to announce the launch of its 2023 Scholarship Programs, offering up to 18 scholarships to applicants from around the country.
The Foundation provides financial assistance to promising students from underprivileged and underrepresented backgrounds who can build a brighter future for themselves and their families if provided with the right educational tools.
"Quality education is essential to a successful upbringing, yet many people from under-resourced communities cannot access it. Since launching our Scholarship Programs in 2019, we have come across many inspiring stories of young individuals who, when provided the right tools and resources, can create a brighter future for themselves and their families," said Susie Hernandez, FABF Board Member and Chair of the Scholarship Committee.
The application period is open from March 1 to May 31, 2023, 11:59 PM (EDT), and applicants can choose from the following categories:
- The STEAM Scholarship For A Bright Future supports students pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) and Sustainability.
- The Dr. Emma Lerew Scholarship aids students pursuing a degree in Education.
- The Healthcare Scholarship For A Bright Future promotes and supports high-achieving students considering careers in Healthcare.
- FinTech Innovation Scholarship For A Bright Future promotes and supports high-achieving students interested in advancing the world of financial technology by pursuing a degree in the related field.
Besides learning fields, FABF focuses on particular categories, including:
- The Single Parent Household Scholarship For A Bright Future supports students from one-parent households seeking a degree in STEAM.
- The Veterans and Families Scholarship For A Bright Future supports military veterans and their families pursuing a degree in STEAM.
"My upbringing has inspired me to create the For A Bright Future Foundation. I know the power and motivation a college scholarship can have on the lives of young people from disadvantaged communities. I am excited as we await the next round of scholarship recipients. I have nothing but good wishes for all the applicants and hope that the Foundation's help can make a college education more accessible. We are honored to help remove the financial burden many underrepresented and underprivileged students face," said Louis Hernandez Jr., FABF Founder and Chairman of the Board.
